A touching piece of work. The pose of the man, the hand on the grave, and simply the multitude of graves you captured reflects the poignancy of the event. His modern attire, the watch on his hand, and the walking stick all hint at eternal memory, its immortality through time. The way the flag is captured in the distance shows patriotism, and yet its distance says that, wherever we're from, we all mourn for those we lost in conflict. I am not American, but I was greatly touched by this piece.

However, I'd like to make a few suggestions on the technique: I would have made the picture black & white for greater impact. Photojournalism always looks deeper, more timeless & more touching in black & white. The bright colours here distract the eye. Also, you could have, maybe, taken the shot from a greater distance to show more of the cemetary - it would increase the impact and create a sense of solitude, & maybe even peace, especially if along with a black and white scheme.
